Partner with the University of Queensland on QTC’s Education Program to deliver financial education and training to our Queensland Government clients across the full breadth of the State.

Funding and Markets Division
Issue and manage funds in domestic and global markets

Manage the State’s funding program and financial market risks by joining the government’s central financing authority.

Issue debt and manage a variety of funding facilities to access funds in domestic and global markets for the State’s borrowing requirement. Focus on providing cost effective funding while minimising liquidity and refinancing risks and achieving significant economies of scale and scope for the State.

Invest surplus cash balances and manage financial market risks on behalf of clients and coordinate financial education services for Queensland’s public sector. Make risk management decisions and execute financial market transactions like those experienced at the world’s largest financial institutions.

QTC enables you to expand your professional networks within both the domestic and international banking sectors with its wide range of financial market counterparties and global investor relations program.

Business Services Division
Drive business process enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce risk

Enhance strategic decision making through business intelligence, data preparation, analysis and presentation from our wealth of data and analytics.

Explore innovations and focus on business processes that optimise risk mitigation, enhance client relationships and drive process and technology.

Gain exposure to the full gamut of financial markets activities and products and participate in the analysis and interpretation of financial data across a host of platforms.

Ensure QTC operates confidently and accurately with complex financial reporting (for a balance sheet over $100B).

Support of the effective management, processing and reconciliation of QTC’s financial market holdings and transactions, in addition to managing QTC client accounts and transactions.

Manage the security, availability and integrity of technology and data systems by operating a portfolio of services covering elements of solution design, build and operations.

Partner with business leaders to attract, retain and invest in our diverse workforce by building capability and inclusive leadership.

Provide best-practice corporate services that deliver outcomes and enable QTC’s dynamic culture.

Work with stakeholders to build strategy and ensure good governance across all that we do.

Enhance and protect QTC’s reputation with key government stakeholders and global investors through open and transparent communication. Design, lead and be ambassadors for all aspects of QTC’s brand.

Risk Division
Protect the organisation and reduce risk through robust frameworks and strategic advice

Ensure that risk management is enterprise wide and consistently embedded, and that risks are managed in a way that allows the organisation to meet its goals within the agreed risk appetite.

Guard the business against undesirable exposures and provide advice on market, economic, and credit risks to inform decision-making that creates value for the State.

Protect the organisation through information security strategies to shield from threats and respond swiftly to the rapidly changing cyber security landscape.

Provide a proactive and enabling approach to legal, compliance and audit services that underpin the organisation’s reputation and success.

Undertake credit analysis and advice for the lending activities of the State. Consult and collaborate with our colleagues in the Client Division on the financing and complex risk assessment of important new projects for Queensland.
